Network Engineer – 188265
The Senior Network Engineer / System Administrator should be a fully qualified network engineer with a minimum of 12 years experience with an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. The candidate shall be able to accomplish an application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field of network engineering and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions. The candidate shall be able to work under general supervision with results being reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Specific skills and experience necessary for the successful accomplishment of this role include the following: Understand the implementation of a web server, X.509 Certificates, secure socket layer (SSL). Proficient in designing, programming, configuring, and troubleshooting networks. Remote administration. Virtual private network (VPN). Routing and WAN connectivity. Proficient in designing, programming, configuring, and troubleshooting Internet based applications and servers.

Proficient in one or more of the following Operating Systems: Windows NT/2000/XP; UNIX (Linux, Solaris, BSD).

Expert in designing networks, applications, and procedures with two or more of the following protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, SLIP, DHCP, ARP, RARP, CISCO, FTP, NNTP, SMTP, SOAP, RMI, RPC.

Specific skills and experience necessary for the successful accomplishment of System Administrator role include the following:
LAN functions:

Catalyst LAN switches installation, configuration and maintenance;
Windows server installation, configuration and maintenance;
Windows security patches and updates;
User account administration and support;
Antivirus protection configuration and maintenance and support;
Help desk functions as required;
Desktop configuration, installation, and maintenance as required;
Cable plant installation and maintenance;
Backup, disaster recovery, planning, and implementation as required;
Custom software configuration, installation, maintenance, and Systems management server;
Inventory control of both hardware and software;
Network auditing as required.

TS/SCI with polygraph desired.
