The Science and Technology Operating Unit of Northrop Grumman Information Systems TASC division is seeking a well-qualified information assurance analyst that will support a restricted program opening in the Washington, DC area. This position will support and work under the direction of the Information Security Officer and responsibilities for the position include:

Conduct information technology systems security analysis, including review of documentation and systems, to develop recommendations to authorize the operation of specific information systems, subsystems or technologies.

Provide day-to-day information assurance assistance to authorizing officials, the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Information Security Officer, information systems owners, security officers and engineers.

Participate in system development lifecycle activities to ensure information assurance controls are built into new systems.

Conduct information assurance assessments of facilities to ensure compliance with applicable policies.

Represent the CIO and Information Security Officer at community meetings, working groups and program reviews.

Develop and present information assurance training presentations, briefings, white papers and articles.

Draft organization information assurance policies implementing national policy.

Draft and develop system security plans and supporting documentation.

Information assurance analyst will work in a high tempo, challenging environment directly supporting the government IT/Security team. Must have superb communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently as well as working as part of a combined government/NG IT/Security team. Some travel required (>25%).
Required qualifications: Seven years of information assurance related experience. Possess a certified information systems security professional, certified information security manager, or GIAC security leadership certification. Maintain certification requirements for an IAM level II as described in DoD 8570.01-M. Demonstrated competency in current operating systems and networking devices. Maintain knowledge of current operating systems, such as Window XP and 7, Server 2000, 2003 and 2008, LINUX RHEL 5, Trusted Solaris 8, and Solaris 10 through technical training. Have a working knowledge of FISMA, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, NISPOM and NISPOMSUP. Experience certifying information systems which operate in the Protection Level 2 mode. Understand the risks of object movement between security domains.
Desired qualifications: Bachelors degree with focus on information assurance or information technology. Technical certifications, such as Microsoft Certified System Administrator or Cisco-Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Experience certifying information systems which will operate in Protection Level 3 and 4 modes. Familiar with CNSS and NIST policies, directives, instructions and special publications. Understand of NIST authorization process and risk management documentation. Understand of ICD 503 and supporting documentation. Familiar with file transfer applications such as IC Clear, Purifile, Document Detective, Cipher or Metadata Assistant. Familiarization with computer forensic concepts. Familiar with cross domain solutions. Have an understanding of the DIACAP. Have participation/experience with community groups concerned with the implementation of DCID/JAFAN 6/3. Have completed a course of study to meet the requirements of CNSSI 4011, 4012, 4016 or NSTISSI 4015.
