Software Manager 2 – 188624
A restricted program located in Reston, VA is currently seeking a Software Manager (SM) to be responsible for the planning, execution and coordination of software development activities on a medium size development and maintenance project. The Software Manager will be responsible for: defining the resource loaded development schedules, statusing weekly progress and report variances in an Earned Value managed baseline; managing the team through all phases of the software development lifecycle (i.e. requirements analysis, design implementation and software integration and test); providing daily tasking to team members; monitoring and managing progress on planned tasks; ensuring software development objectives are met on schedule and within budget; coordinating with other teams such as SE, INT, V&V, O&M and to ensure correct design, implementation and compliance with requirements baseline and Interface documents; applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle; ensuring software standards are met; and providing weekly and monthly status to the Program Manager. The SM will be responsive and proactive in all customer interactions. The SM will be responsible for managing Tier 3 O&M development support and representing the development team at project meetings.

The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Must have an active TS/SCI and be willing to take a Full scope polygraph. Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of generalized experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Must have demonstrated ability to lead a software team on a large software development effort with minimal management supervision. Must have advanced knowledge of modern software development processes and tools, and track record of applying them to programs. Working knowledge of SOA and Architecture based design. Familiarity with Mark Logic, Oracle, Hibernate, JAVA, AJAX, JSP, Struts, HTML, JavaScript and Spring a plus.
