Our Air Force Technical Services Group, located in Suffolk, VA, has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The individual will be providing a wide spectrum of support to the US Air Force and US Air Forces Central.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities of the AA will be:
* Actively participating in proposal activities
* Performing file and records management duties
* Maintaining travel deployment forms for team members
* Editing written material for correct spelling and grammar
* Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Program Manager
* Making travel arrangements for team members and calculating travel estimates
* Managing appt and suspense calendars, scheduling meetings and conferences, and answering phones
* Actively participating in preparation and editing of briefing documents, slides, and deliverable documentation
* Preparing and processing travel expense reports, purchase requisitions, check payments, and other company forms
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* H.S. diploma and 2 years of experience
* Three years preparing and editing documents
* Three years of advanced usage of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
* Demonstrated ability to execute, assess, and adjust, evaluate, and report with little supervision
* Well founded, non-opinionated verbal and written communication skills are absolutely essential
* Experience using MS Office products, understanding of Java script, Flash, and basic Internet functions
* Two years performing duties that demonstrates the applicant's ability to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting
* Three years working experience that demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication, self-initiative, follow-up, organization, and attention to detail skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret level security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Knowledge of military community
* Knowledge of NG company policies/procedures
* Group facilitation and presentation experience is a plus
* Experience working in a classified environment and knowledge of security requirements
