Northrop Grumman has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Customer Service Representative in support of a tri-jurisdictional government agency in the transportation arena. Primary duty is responsibility for answering phones to support customers calling in for assistance (fare media replacement, card registration, order status inquiries, account maintenance/inquiries, general information, etc.) and recording the appropriate call information. Additional duties may include but are not limited to the processing of any or all of the following: voice mail messages; faxes, US mail, and email messages; fare media replacement; financial transactions; vending machine shortchanges; returned mail; "Negative List" maintenance; Internet and Lockbox order processing, fulfillment, and settlement; and card initialization and kit assembly.
Hours of operation are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday with the exception of the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day holidays. The position is located in McLean, Virginia. Flexibility required working various shifts rotating on a weekly basis. Forty hours per week. Overtime not required, but often available on little or short notice.
Required Skills: US Citizenship is required. Minimum of two years experience with computers in a Microsoft Windows environment - including extensive use of windows applications (Microsoft Office) and the Internet. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently under general supervision. Educational requirements are a minimum, high school diploma and 2 years experience in a customer service capacity. Knowledge of transportation arena a plus.
