Service Desk Technician 3 – 188408
Position requires 24x7 support, working 12 hour shifts. Potential candidates must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and possibly nights.

A Restricted program located in Reston, VA has a need for a Service Desk Technician supporting a 24x7 operations center. This individual will be part of a service desk team working 12-hour shifts. Candidate must have five (5) + years of U.S. industry work experience as a Windows (NT/Windows 2000) Systems Administrator. Technician must be able to support issues for server/workstation operating systems (Windows & UNIX) and application software (Lotus Notes, MS Office, etc.), and provide support in the areas of Active Directory, Networking, and related deployment issues. Candidate will be responsible for providing support for Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory environment. Technicians on this program must possess excellent verbal & written communications skills, and thorough understandings of operational practices are required to ensure systems remain secure, consistent and supportable.

The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Must have an active TS/SCI with Full scope polygraph. Bachelors degree with 6+ years; 4 years of experience with Masters degree. Additional years of experience may substitute in lieu of degree. Minimum 5 years IT service desk experience required (Commercial Call center experience is not applicable) UNIX admin experience helpful (learner is acceptable). Basic network troubleshooting (know how to "ping", "traceroute", nslookup", etc. and know what the resulting output means), Windows administration, and Lotus Notes administration experience required (jr is acceptable). Asset to have ITIL Foundations Level certification, former experience in customer service, and familiarity with the customer's classified network
