Candidate must be capable of performing work to extreme details and tolerances under direct surveillance of various internal and external representatives. Position requires individual to possess or be capable of possessing a DOD Confidential or higher security clearance. Other requirements include ability to pass pre-screening examination for reading, math and comprehension as well as satisfactory completion of Radiological and Mobile Equipment medical examination. Varied shift schedules and overtime are required for operations which include shipboard work on primarily overhaul carriers but may include new construction carriers and submarines as well as dockside shop work. Candidate must be capable of working individually or in a team environment and follow step by step instructions. Candidate must pass prerequisite training including radiological contamination worker and crane rigger / operator qualifications which include classroom, on the job training and practical examinations. In addition, the individual must be capable of qualification to rigorous refueling specific Phase II and higher requirements. Skills from multiple trades (i.e. electricians, sheet metal, riggers, pipefitters, etc.) are acceptable for refueling candidates. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. MULTIPLE POSITIONS.
