Join Northrop Grumman as a SR Network Engineer to participate in the installation, configuration, evaluation and prototyping of Information Assurance and Cross Domain solutions. Position is located in Washington, DC convenient to Metro.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Network engineering in a secure environment.
Capable of independently taking a significant application's network integration through its life cycle.
Demonstrated ability to perform network design, engineering, and implementation.
Perform Information Technology Communications Security Engineer activities. Support network security compliance with governance documents and directives (e.g., DCID 6/3).
Support security certification and accreditation activities.
Analyze customer IT systems for security posture and recommend improvements and compliance actions.
Support security services marketing activities to current and new customers.
Interface on technical issues with various development and engineering staff.
Job Qualifications:
US Citizenship and a current active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance required
A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 10 years experience
Thorough knowledge of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP.
Capable of independent hands on installation, setup and configuration of network firewalls, routers, switches and concentrators.
Specific knowledge of Cyberguard and Cisco Firewalls and Cisco routers and switches is required.
Knowledge of computer operations and hacker techniques. Experience in supporting the preparation of information system security plans to fulfill government security criteria such as DCID 6/3, DITSCAP, NIACAP, etc is desired.
Experience in interfacing with classified networks like FBINet, SIPRnet, SCION and JWICS networks is a big plus.
Position is contingent on contract award.
